He holds a Master of Public Health from Memorial University where he is currently a part-time graduate student in the Department of Political Science. He is trained in qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis, and is working to integrate blended public health/political science approaches into his work in order to examine the health impacts of policies and power structures and the political processes through which they might be changed.
He has completed research projects on a range of topics including housing, aging in place, 2SLGBTQIA+ health, heat safety, and the complex roles faith-based organizations play in public health campaigns and environmental movements. He is also trained in graphic and web design, and enjoys finding creative ways to support knowledge mobilization and dissemination.
He is passionate about revitalizing civic life and is active in the local arts, queer, and progressive interfaith communities. He lives in St John’s, NL with his husband and cat where he enjoys book arts, running, and exploring the province.
